Facts about Bahamas Out Islands Bahamas

The islands that make up the entire Bahamas, barring the Grand Bahama Island and New Providence Island, are known as Out Islands. Of the more than 700 islands that make up the Bahamas, only 14 islands of the Out Islands are considered inhabited with human populations, which include Abaco Island, Andros Island, Berry Island, Cat Island, Eleuthera Island, Harbor Island, Long Island, and San Salvador.

Although sparsely populated but Out Islands are very much popular as family islands due to pristine sandy beaches, captivating climate, friendly locals, loads of choices of luxury hotels and resorts, great local food dishes, and lots of water sports and leisure activities. Many people go to the Out Islands not only for the honeymoon but also for organizing the entire wedding function. Out Islands along with several other exotic locations in the Bahamas offer an enchanting Caribbean vacation experience. Saint Francis Resort, Rock House, Grand Isle Resort and Spa, Emerald Palms by the Sea, and Powell Point resort are few of the great options for luxury yet affordable accommodations.
